The objective of this department is to serve the Public within our jurisdiction, to enforce laws, investigate crimes and do our best to solve these crimes and to protect the citizens of Sevier County as LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS.
Serving a county of over 560 square miles and a population of over 17,000 people, the Sevier County Sheriff's Office is responsible for primary law enforcement services of the unincorporated area and the cities of De Queen, Horatio, and Lockesburg. These law enforcement services are provided by personnel in the Patrol Division, Investigation Division, Court Services Division, Support Services Division and Jail Operations Division.
Millwood Lake can be found in the southeast corner of Sevier County, along with De Queen Lake and Dierks Lake. Sevier County is home to the Pond Creek National Wildlife Refuge, which is a great place for nature-seeking citizens or tourists to visit and observe the local wildlife.
