On or about the 21st day of August 2017, Deputy Greg Harper was patrolling the area of Hwy 24 and 41. Deputy Harper observed a four door car traveling at a high rate of speed. Deputy Harper initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle for the offense of speeding. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Randy Abney a 50 year old resident of Lonoke, Texas. During the traffic stop investigation Deputy Harper located Marijuana, smoking device, an alleged loaded syringe with suspected Methamphetamine and a firearm. The driver Randy Abney was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms.
